This necklace comprises 100% recycled and vintage and antique components: recycled glass from Ghana, massive multicolored also recycled from Ghana all handcrafted, vintage metal inserts from Afghanistan, and a vintage pendant from Turkey.

The story behind this collection: In each delicate bead, a whispered prayer resonates—a dedication to peace, democracy, and tranquility. This collection transcends mere accessories; it’s a symbol of unity, echoing the collective hope for a world bathed in the serenity of peace. As a Canadian with deep Ukrainian roots, the invasion’s impact fuels my commitment to give back and promote peace. Every blue and yellow bead mirrors the Ukrainian flag—symbolizing freedom, independence, bravery, and vibrancy. The collection, a tribute to Ukraine’s courage, aims to be a talisman of hope, anticipating a day when they are free once more.

This is part of the benefit collection for Ukraine. As a Canadian of 50% Ukrainian descent, my heart, mind, and hands keep reaching for blue and yellow beads, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The colors symbolize the blue sky above the yellow field of wheat, representing Ukraine and the Ukrainians as they are – freedom-loving, independent, brave, and vibrant. With its ancient history, the Ukrainian flag holds a significant place in the heart of the Ukrainian people and is the nation’s talisman. We are absolutely in awe of the Ukrainians’ courage and determination and hope they may soon be free again.
