Montreal, July 26, 2024 – Asymmetric by Design, a Montreal-based, woman-owned jewelry company, is proud to announce the launch of its new “Fracasser le plafond de verre” jewelry line. Debuting at Montreal Fashion Week, September 16-22, the collection is an ode to pioneering women, celebrating their groundbreaking achievements and inspiring future generations. The bold, recycled net-à-porter collection is also presented. It is mainly composed of antique, vintage, ecological and recycled elements, collected over 45 years of travels around the world. Each creation tells a unique story, embodying the vision of a more inclusive, fairer and greener world.
Join in and learn:
You’re invited to learn about sustainable jewelry practices and participate in exclusive free workshops on recycling and upcycling semi-precious jewelry. These workshops will take place on September 19 and 21 at the Centre d’art et musée de Montréal, 1842 rue William. Participants will gain hands-on experience and learn about the circular fashion movement.
Taking the lead in circular fashion:
Asymmetric by Design is at the forefront of remodeling and reusing semi-precious jewelry. By embracing the circular principles of reconversion, repair, resale and recycling, the brand is setting new standards in the industry.
“With 40,000 years of pearls, I think we have enough to create beautiful jewelry while protecting the planet,” says founder Tonya Dickenson.
In its first year of existence, Asymmetric by Design received a nomination for the President’s Favourite at Mmode 2023. Mmode is the non-profit organization that contributes to the growth, influence, and competitiveness of the Quebec fashion industry. Every year, some 250 players from all fashion sub-sectors join Mmode to develop and implement promising projects.
